Driving and parking

The start and end of the school day are busy times for pedestrians and drivers outside schools.

When driving and parking near our school, please:

• ensure you park safely in school zones
• follow speed signs
• do not make U-turns or 3-point turns outside the school.

Our bus bay becomes quite busy in the afternoon as we assist children in boarding buses and getting into cars for their journeys home.

The council has implemented parking restrictions in the bus bay to ensure the safety of all students and families.

We have designated a specific area reserved exclusively for buses. No part of your vehicle should be stopped in the bus zone for any reason. We operate two buses that perform two runs each morning and afternoon, and it is essential that there is a safe area for children to board and disembark while at school.

Additionally, there is a designated 'Kiss and Ride' area intended for vehicles to efficiently drop off or pick up children. Please be aware that there are restrictions regarding the distance allowed from your vehicle and the duration of your stay in this area. Vehicles parked in the 'Kiss and Ride' zone significantly affect our capacity to safely escort students to their cars, as parked vehicles necessitate that other cars navigate around them to pick up their children.
